Location: Capital Ballroom
Given the recent headlines regarding our Haitian community, this panel will address the state of our local communities and their capacity to manage the needs of the incoming group of immigrants. How can the Haitian American leadership make a difference and offer relief through the channels of advocacy? Panelists will offer insights on the ways and avenues we can all contribute towards the long term solutions through the advancement of civic engagement, to ensure social justice, equality, and equity. There will be an opportunity to discuss available resources, and engage the audience in a conversation on how they, as leaders and organizations, can play a pivotal role in the integration process of our brothers and sisters. This is an opportunity for Haitian American professionals and corporations to unite and make a lasting, positive impact.
