Tell us a bit about your personal background.

My name is Erica Joseph; I am 30 years old and a Haitian national born in Delmas. My degree is in public relations and my master’s degree is in international relations. I now live in the United States, and run a consulting company that establishes and directs operations called Seven7 R.I Consulting LLC.

What’s your current job?

CEO seven7 RI consulting

How did your background prepare you for your current role?

At my old job I had a position of responsibility, that has been a plus in encouraging me to manage my company.

What is the biggest challenge of your work?

Encouraging and promoting U.S. and Latin American trade and investment in Haiti simultaneously with expansion of Latin American trade and corporate expansion and investment into the United States.

What would you say have been your greatest career or personal accomplishments so far?

Obtaining my master’s degree at one of the best universities in Latin America and also starting my company in the United States.

What’s the most important leadership lesson you’ve learned?

Trying to make my subordinates learn from me.

How long have you been a member of the NAAHP? What’s your best experience thus far?

I have been a member for 1 week.

What kind of advice would you give to fellow NAAHP members looking to grow professionally?

You have to challenge yourself to do what seems difficult and take advantage of the space that NAAHP gives you, because none of us can achieve our dreams without the help of others.

Who or what inspires you?

My mother inspires me.

When you’re not working, where can we find you?

Reading a book.
